In many coal processing plants there is a need for the sizing and screening of material through the use of a roller screen.  Roller Screens are suitable for separating fine, coarse and sticky coal. They are used preliminary screening and relief to crusher as well to ensure a clog free flow of coal.

 

The screen is driven by electric motor through a gear box. Motors and gear box are connected by couplings.

 

The health of roller screens is critical in meeting both the throughput goals of the processing plant and the customers coal size requirements.

The material is subjected to a gentle and harmonic rolling motion. As the material travels, the smaller particles come to the bottom layer and pass through the opening between two consecutive discs. The oversized material are discharge at other end.

Not maintaining the aperture size on a roller screen can result in serious consequences for your customers.  One of our clients experienced an over-size fine from their customers of $3 million.
